At Last

St Aubyn wurde 1960 in eine der bekanntesten Familien des englischen Hochadels hineingeboren. Er wurde bis zu seinem achten Lebensjahr von seinem Vater misshandelt und sexuell missbraucht, während seine Mutter mit Wohltätigkeitsarbeit außerhalb der Familie beschäftigt war. As friends, relatives and foes trickle in to pay their final respects to his mother Eleanor, Patrick Melrose finds himself questioning whether a life without parents will be the liberation he has so long imagined.
