KATRIN BONGARD is a painter, and has also been working in the film industry for more than ten years. Her career as a novelist began with an idea for a film script. Her debut novel, Radio Gaga (Beltz), was awarded the Peter Härtling Prize, the Young Readers of Vienna Jury Prize, and the Golden Leslie. She has been writing YA and all-ages novels since 2005; her works have been published through Beltz, Oetinger, and Red Bug Books
