A lesson plan, The Sixth Sense II educates students on behaviors that might otherwise be misinterpreted as frightening, odd, or rude. The rationale is that students will be better-equipped to include a classmate with unique behaviors when they are provided with accurate social information. The program focuses on "the sixth sense," the social sense which the non-autism spectrum disorder students have. Via activities and discussion formatted in the book, students discuss "what is it like to have a sixth sense impairment?" The goal of this book is to create a learning environment where all children feels socially safe and comfortable.
