Ein Page-Turner!
Dieses Buch trägt den Begriff des "page turners" zu Recht!
Auch wenn man sich eigentlich gar nicht für Geschichte geschweige denn die christliche Religion interessiert, zieht einen das Buch in den Bann um die Legende des heiligen Grals. Die kurzen Kapitel lassen das Lesen sehr kurzweilig werden.
Gleich zu Beginn wird der ermordete Direktor des Louvre vor dem Gemälde der Mona Lisa gefunden. In seinen letzten Minuten hat er verschiedene Hinweise auf seinen Mörder hinterlassen. Der Symbolforscher Robert Langdon, der den Direktor als Letzter an dem Abend gesehen haben soll, gerät sofort in Verdacht. Doch zusammen mit der Enkelin des Opfers und Kryptologin Sophie Neveau entkommt Langdon der Polizei und macht sich auf, die geheimen Botschaften zu entschlüsseln.
Es entwickelt sich eine spannende Reise durch die Welt uralter Geheimorden, Kreuzritter, Symbolen und jahrhundertalten Verschwörungen der Kirche...
