Yukon was not a place for only the gold miners - there were dozens of different indigenous tribes living in the area. 'Children of the Frost' is a short story collection by Jack London, and most of its stories tell about the life of the local indigenous people. The stories take us to see shamans, tribal wars and the conflict - and sometimes friendship - between the local and white men.
