Olga Yulianivna Kobylyanska (November 27, 1863 - March 21, 1942) was a Ukrainian modernist writer, an early participant of the women's movement in Bukovina, a friend of Lesya Ukrainka. The author of novels and short stories, most often dedicated to the depiction of Ukrainian women at the turn of the century, as well as the situation of the Bukovyna village at that time. One of the most important figures of early modernism in Ukrainian literature.
