Black Cat

Walter B. Gibson had it right when he wrote "who knows what evil lurks in the hearts and minds of men?" Thus it is so in the deep of Winter. I share a tale with all, as each might learn a lesson from temptation not denied. The woods on the late afternoon, find a woodsman facing a stranger. Dark magic is about. All things equal in a settled mind, the behavior does not ring true. Trust, faith, fear all face the man with the axe. A short but jarring story of concern with a soul in the balance. Might it be a myth? Or could be it fact. A cat, a man, a wife, and a sin. That's the brew in this woodsman's tale. 1, 850 words. Occult, Folklore, Suspense, Horror.
