Anton Pavlovich Chekhov is a classic of world literature. His works have been translated into more than 100 languages, and his plays "The Seagull", "Three Sisters" and "The Cherry Orchard" have been staged in many theaters around the world for more than a century. Chekhov died early, but over 25 years of creative activity he created more than 300 works of various genres - from short humorous stories to serious stories and plays. The writer's artistic discoveries had a huge impact on literature and theater, and his dramaturgy became the "calling card" of Russian literature in the world.
