Johan Gouws has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in various areas of the financial-services industry for more than three decades. His formal qualifications include an MBA from Wits Business School and a post-graduate diploma in Financial Planning from Free State University. He also attended leadership programmes at Harvard Business School and Duke University in the United States, and Insead Business School in France. Johan established Absa Multi Management where, as Chief Investment Officer, he and the investment team managed a range of award-winning unit trust funds. He has provided investment advice to some of the largest South African retirement funds and its members and served as head of a leading personal-wealth advisory team. Johan regularly comments in the media and writes articles on matters relating to personal finance, global and local financial markets, and economic developments.
