James Benedict was born shortly after WWII as a baby-boomer. Grew up in the pine state of Maine andwent to the Maine Maritime Academy graduating with a BS degree in Engineering, commission for theUnited States Navy and a license as a Third Engineer. After shipping the seas to Africa, entered aBenedictine Monastery to study for the priesthood and took the name of Brother James, hence the penname of James Benedict. He left the monastery and worked for International Paper for 34 years in vaiousengineering positions. His passions in life taught him a Reverence for God, Respect for life and Honor tosrtive to do right. In the Twilight of his life, he very much enjoys his grandchildren and writing. Some of thenames of the books are his grandchildren's names.
