Pilgrim of Peace, by Father Ibrahim Faltas, is a collection of his writings published in the magazine of the John Paul II Foundation, Colloquia Mediterranea. Alongside these articles, the book also includes some of his emails sent to friends over the years, recounting his numerous journeys to Italy and the Middle East.
Father Faltas is an tireless pilgrim who, like Saint Francis, meets and engages in dialogue with everyone he encounters. He faces the daily realities of life-sometimes joyful, other times complex and delicate-much like the situations experienced by many Middle Eastern populations.
His articles are brief and written in a journalistic style, intentionally left free from notes or comments to preserve their original freshness.
These pages provide insight into the complex situation in the Middle East, guiding readers unfamiliar with those realities through the dynamics of certain countries. Much space is devoted to Egypt, Father Faltas's homeland, as well as to Israel and Palestine, where he has been actively engaged since 1992.
