Doortje Smithuijsen lives in Amsterdam where she is a philosopher and journalist frequently featured on Dutch national television and hosts a popular weekly podcast. She has written several books, made documentaries, and regularly publishes in the Volkskrant newspaper.
Erica Moore is the founder of the language girl-a translation, editing, and copywriting firm that helps Dutch authors and organizations find a voice in English. Recent nonfiction works include Rutger Bregman's Humankind: a Hopeful History (2020), a New York Times bestseller, Moral Ambition also by Bregman (2025), and The Divide by Maurits Chabot (2026).
