Thomas Chua is an investor and author dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve financial freedom. He has a business degree from the National University of Singapore-though investing is something he has taught himself, through reading books and years of real decisions with real money.
Thomas grew up in poverty in Singapore. As a teenager, he walked into a library and read every book on investing he could get his hands on, including the story of Warren Buffett, who'd become one of the richest people in the world by buying great businesses and holding them for decades.
Having achieved financial independence at 31, Thomas is passionate about sharing his hard-won lessons and time-tested strategies with others. He has been featured in national media and speaks on government financial education programmes. He writes about long-term investing on his website SteadyCompounding, which has a community of over 100,000 investors.
His first book, The Lunch Break Investor, is everything he wishes he'd known when he first started out.
