On October 19, 2017, astronomers detected an interstellar object moving through our solar system at a velocity that defied natural explanation. Designated 3I/ATLAS, it showed no conventional cometary tail, no predictable rotation, and no clear origin within known stellar neighborhoods. Publicly, it was cataloged and dismissed. Privately, its behavior raised questions no one wanted to ask.

This novel begins with what is known. Everything that follows is speculative fiction-grounded in real science, modern military doctrine, and a single uncomfortable assumption: the universe does not send visitors without purpose.
