Philippe Garon defines himself as an "inhabitant" and a generalist of the literary arts. Born in 1974 in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts in the far reaches of Gaspésie, Quebec, Garon explores storytelling, poetry, narrative, theatre, essays, and song. A gregarious animal, he experiences writing primarily through encounters and movement: chopping wood, gardening, skiing. Les aventures de Sam is his first book.
