In A Pirate's Ransom, Book Two of the Salty Dog series, Captain Danny Watkins and his crew become caught in a deadly conspiracy after a routine fishing charter ends in violence. A mysterious silver case contains encrypted information leading to a seventeenth-century shipwreck and a fortune in lost Spanish gold.
The treasure is hidden beneath the dangerous waters of the Quicksands, but Danny is not the only one searching for it. A corrupt federal agent and the ruthless crew of a professional salvage vessel will stop at nothing to claim the fortune.
As the race carries them from Bimini to Key West, Danny, his loyal crew, and their fearless yellow Labrador must survive treacherous reefs, betrayal, and enemies determined to silence them. Finding the treasure could change their lives-but escaping with it may cost them everything.
