Alexander Kluge es escritor, abogado y cineasta. Nació en Halberstadt (Alemania) en 1932. Estudió derecho, historia y música en Marburgo y Frankfurt. Amigo y colaborador de Theodor W. Adorno y Fritz Lang, fue uno de los fundadores del Nuevo Cine Alemán y aunque ha dirigido más de treinta películas, se define principalmente como escritor. Se le han concedido casi todos los grandes premios literarios, como el premio George Büchner, que recibió en 2003 y es considerado el galardón literario más importante en lengua alemana.
Alexander Kluge is a writer, lawyer, and filmmaker. He was born in Halberstadt, Germany, in 1932. He studied law, history, and music in Marburg and Frankfurt. A friend and collaborator of Theodor W. Adorno and Fritz Lang, he was one of the founders of New German Cinema and, although he has directed more than thirty films, he primarily defines himself as a writer. He has been awarded nearly all major literary prizes, including the Georg Büchner Prize, which he received in 2003 and which is considered the most important literary award in the German language.
