In Growing Andrea, author Hannah Hartley addresses the challenges, joys, and heartaches that go hand in hand with raising a special needs child. She walks you through a forty-year pilgrimage with her own daughter, Andrea, as they battle to secure services, a diagnosis, and a future. Through practical applications, she shows you how to co-labor with God in raising his child for his glory.
From being told to abort her baby, to being told her child cannot be diagnosed, Hartley takes you on a journey of tenacity that tugs at the heart strings, surmounts obstacles, and culminates in victory only God could have brought about. She is convinced every child has a God-given purpose and gift, even those who live with limited abilities.
With scripture included, Growing Andrea demonstrates that those who are different are indeed divine masterpieces and should be seen as differently abled and beautiful. They are children of the living God with purpose, worth, and potential.
