Robert B. Parker (1932-2010) was an American author who wrote more than sixty novels. He is most well-known for the novels that feature the private detective Spenser, which inspired the television series Spenser: For Hire. He twice won the Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America, including a Grand Master Award in 2002. Burt Reynolds (1936-2018) was an Emmy-award winning actor who starred in more than 80 films including Deliverance, The Longest Yard, and Boogie Nights, for which he received an Oscar nomination.
